A wonderful blend of prints and colors...

While Rail Fence quilts are typically made from five light-to-dark shades of color, our kit has a twist - the traditional Rail Fence pattern with a scrap-quilt look.

Typically, the rail fence pattern is made with five shades of colored strips, sewn from light to very dark, and then sliced into blocks. After arranging the blocks in two different orientations, the blocks are then sewn together so that a very dark "rail" line, made by the darkest stripe of each block, steps through the quilt.

Our Rail Fence quilt kit contains many, many different fabrics, so that the finished quilt top has a scrap-quilt effect, while the dark rail still steps through it. The kit contains 75 pre-cut 100% cotton strips that are pre-matched in light-to-dark groupings of five strips and instructions. So you can rip open the package and start sewing right away!

The finished quilt size is 54" x 54". But larger quilt tops can be made with additional kits:
